Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 2, 2026

These Terms govern your use of SecFrame Explorer ("the Service"), operated by Arnav Sharma ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

SecFrame Explorer provides AI-assisted explanations and cross-mappings of public security framework controls (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, etc.). Free users get 3 AI lookups per day; paid plans remove this cap.

2. Acceptable use

You must not: use the Service unlawfully; commit fraud or send spam; infringe intellectual property; interfere with security (malware, scraping, probing); or attempt to circumvent rate limits.

3. Generative AI

AI-generated explanations may be inaccurate or incomplete and are not a substitute for professional security, legal, or compliance advice. You are responsible for verifying outputs before relying on them. We may filter, refuse, or remove outputs at our discretion. Do not use the Service to generate illegal content, malware, or jailbreak attempts.

4. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service, including software, design, branding, and curated catalog data. You retain rights in your own inputs. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service per your plan.

5. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, taxes, renewals, and cancellations are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms.

7. Service level

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for purpose).

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (loss of profits, data, goodwill).

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
